Meta's Muse Wants Your Email and Your Card
Meta launched Muse, a personal AI agent for US users on web, iOS, Android and WhatsApp. It connects to email, calendar, payments, health apps and shopping, and runs in its own virtual machine.
Free tier, $20 plan, $100 plan. Meta says Muse conversations never reach its ad systems.
It arrives two weeks after Meta settled multistate social media claims for $18 billion. No Meta consumer product has asked for this much personal data.
The Humanoids at IFA Danced More Than They Worked

Chinese firms took the floor at IFA Berlin. Unitree humanoids danced in formation and assembled a sandwich. MagicLab put its machines in panda suits to do backflips.
The one with a real job was Xiaomi's CyberOne, which fist-bumped visitors in Berlin but spends its actual shifts fastening nuts on an EV line at 98% accuracy.
XPeng switched on its IRON humanoid line in Guangzhou the same week, targeting mass output by year end.
OpenAI Says It Built an Automated Research Intern
OpenAI says it hit the automated research intern goal Sam Altman set last October. By mid-August its research group ran 3.1 agent-workdays for every human workday.
OpenAI set the goal, wrote the definition, took the measurement and published the grade.
More than half of successful long agent runs still needed a person to step in. The next target is a full AI researcher by March 2028, which OpenAI admits it does not know how to reach safely.

Chipmakers Are Buying Into Their Own Customers
Qualcomm gave Amazon a warrant for 25 million shares alongside a deal to build custom AI inference silicon for AWS. It vests only as Amazon spends up to $60 billion on Qualcomm hardware.
The same day, Mistral raised €3 billion at more than €21 billion, Europe's largest equity round. Samsung led it. ASML led the last one.
Nvidia was already a Mistral partner. Supply and demand are ending up on the same balance sheet.
